Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week is all about music & books. We previously did books we’d give theme songs to so feel free to do that! Or 10 songs I wish that were books (check out my love songs I wish were books for an example of what I mean).
For my blogpost I did Ten Songs that I wish were books. These are in no particular order so enjoy this blogpost.
Glowing in the Dark: The Girl and the Dreamcatcher
I am obsessed with this song as it just has a kind of paranormal feeling to the music video. I would love to see a story about a girl who's boyfriend recently died and he returns and has to deal with that. {Am actually planning on writing this so copyrighted}

Need You Right Now: Bethany Mota and Mike Tompkins

This video especially gives me the feelings of a dystopian type story and I would love to see it.

"Snow White": Christina Grimmie

This seems like a story with a girl who is maybe unhappy with her life and wants someone to rescue her but I'd like for the girl to be a little stronger than in this song.

Castle: Halsey
This song gives me the feelings of a dystopian/rebellion/fantasy story and I would love it.

Ghost Waltz: Sonya Belousova

I would love to see a story about a ghost who takes a girl to

Let's Do It Again: Franchesca Maia

This could be a story about a girl who had a 'fling' with someone but she falls for him and wants him back and it could be their story.

Mad Hatter: Melanie Martinez

This could totally be a modern Alice in Wonderland retelling and I would love to read it.

Human: Christina Perri

This should definintly be a two perspective story from a human and an android. It should be dystopian with struggles, action and romance and I would love to read it.

Shatter Me: Lindsey Stirling ft. Lzzy Hale

This would be a steampunk/futuristic story and it would be a great book to read.

Roundtable Rival: Lindsey Stirling

This would be a Western, Steampunk story with three strong heroines out to catch the villains.

Top Ten Book Friendships!

For this blogpost, I have decided to do my Top Ten Book Friendships. These are as of February 15, 2016 so I may do another one of these in a couple of months.

Go grab your favorite snack and a cup of tea and settle in for this blogpost. These are also in no particular order.

Number One: Thomas and Newt from The Maze Runner Series by James Dashner.

These two are such good friends in the first and second book, despite Thomas working for WICKED in his past. I love these two as friends and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Number Two: Hermione, Ron and Harry from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.

This is the Golden Trio ladies and gentleman. They are the perfect group of friends, willing to stick by each other until the end. They never give up and endure everything.

Number Three: Iko and Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.

I have supported this friendship since day one and I will keep on doing that until the very end. Iko is an android but with such a huge personality and feelings that at times you question it. They are always there for each other.

Number Four: Percy, Annabeth and Grover from The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan.

These three are the original trio from Rick Riordan’s books and I love them so much. The three of them went on many quests with each other and each one was willing to sacrifice something for another.

Number Five: Eilonwy and Taran from The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander

Yes, I know that these two are a couple but they didn’t start out that way and I love them as friends. Their hilarious banter kept me going at the slow parts in the books.

Number Six: Scarlet and Winter from The Lunar Chronicles Series by Marissa Meyer

These two did not start out as friends. Scarlet was kept captive by Winter and Scarlet did not like her at all even though Winter was protecting her from Levana but eventually they became friends and their friendship is perfect.

Number Seven: Cinder and Thorne from The Lunar Chronicles Series by Marissa Meyer.

These two have the most hilarious banter. They were both in prison and basically escaped together. I will forever love their friendship.

[This is such a struggle. I can't find a picture for these two]

Number Eight: Marlee and America from The Selection series by Kiera Cass

Marlee didn’t want to be queen and neither did America. Marlee has always supported America’s choices and I think they will forever be friends.

Number Nine: Dex and Sophie from Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger.

These two are the perfect best friends and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Number Ten: Sam and Frodo from The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolken

They are one of the best friendships and Sam’s line to Frodo is one of the best.

“I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you.”

That line literally makes me want to cry.

Teen Wolf Season 4x9 Review/Thoughts

Teen Wolf Season 4x9 Review/Thoughts

Teen Wolf is one of my favorite TV shows and I have decided to do episode reviews as I am almost up to date.

This will have so many spoilers. Just a warning!

Season Four is awesome but not my favorite season.  We have gotten a new ‘main’ character and new villains.

REVIEW/THOUGHTS

In the episode before it left off with Lydia finding out that her grandmother was responsible for the code. And this raised a ton of questions.

In this episode:

Parrish gets burned alive by his fellow police officer. Unfortunately for the police officer, Parrish survives.

I am seriously so confused as to what he is at this point. Like is he a phoenix? Is that an actual supernatural creature?

Also Meredith Walker comes back and that’s when you know she’s going to be involved in this entire freaking mess.

Kira was MIA for this episode which made me a little bit sad as I really like her.

But we did get a lot of drama. For instance Lydia and Stiles spent time together and then went to ask for files at Eichen House.

Scott, Malia and Liam were at the bonfire at school. And Malia and Liam thought that it was a good idea to attempt to get drunk even though as we found out in season one, they can’t get drunk.  Of course some creepy people were running the party and the music basically made them all loose it and then get almost killed.

Enter Derek Hale who saves them from being almost killed.

Meanwhile, Lydia and Stiles get knocked out (Thanks Jeff Davis for not giving these two special powers) and then they almost get killed by Brunski.

Yeah, I always knew he had problems but I didn’t know that they were this bad. Maybe instead of working at Eichen, he should be entered there as a patient.

And then that cliffhanger tho….

Who ever thought that Meredith Walker would be the Benefactor. Like what is up with that?

Basically the writers:

And Meredith happened to help them. Like she helped them find the second cipher key. I’m starting to think that other people were in on all this.

*Cough* *Cough* Peter Hale *Cough* *Cough*

This is me at the end of this episode:

Anyways… I shall see you soon for another blogpost!

Music Monday #5

I got this idea from the blog Trust in the Words.

Let's Do It Again by Franchesca Maia

I found this song a couple of days ago and am already in love with it. I love the words and the beat and ugh she's so pretty. Listen to this song!

Happy reading everybody! <3

Favorite Book Couples! As of February 11, 2016!

Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, I decided to do my Top 10 Favorite Book Ships. Be aware that these are only from books I have read.

I will have more than ten books on this list so stay with me guys. Go grab your favorite snack and a cup of tea and settle in for this blogpost. These are also in no particular order.

First: Cinder and Kai from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.

Their relationship is so adorable and real, you almost forget they are in a future Earth, fictional book and are fictional themselves. They make you laugh, cry and awe. I love them so much!

Second: Thorne and Cress from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.

These two are so adorable. From the moment they met to the moment of their first kiss to the moment they both realized they loved each other.  AHH! I fangirl so hard when I read about these two!

Third: Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson and the Olympians AND The Heroes of Olympus  by Rick Riordan

I love their banter and the fact that Annabeth is super smart and always comments on the stupid stuff that Percy does. And I love how they call each other names. “Seaweed Brain” and “Wise Girl”  #Goals

Fourth: Leo and Calypso from The Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan

They are so adorable. I used to ship Leo and Hazel but Calypso is so much better for Leo.

“They send a person who can never stay.” she whispered. “Who can never accept my offer of companionship for more than a little while. They send me a hero I can’t help-just the sort of person I can’t help falling in love with” (Calypso says this to Leo)

Fifth: Katniss and Peeta from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

They are a perfect match and I shipped them from the start. Their romance is beautiful and so real. They are pretty much polar opposites that fit well together. I love how it isn’t an insta-love romance and it develops. He saved her life and she’s saved his countless of times.

Sixth: Remus and Tonks from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

This is one of my only adult ships. Most of the other ships on this list are teenagers. I love Remus and Tonks. Remus didn’t want to be with Tonks because he felt like he was too old for her and he thought the fact that he’s a werewolf would repulse her but it didn’t. The last Harry Potter broke me in terms of their ship.

Seventh: America and Maxon from The Selection by Kiera Cass

America and Maxon are the cutest thing ever. They are just perfect together and even have their own signal! <3

Eighth: Morpheus and Alyssa from the Splintered Trilogy by A.G. Howard

The main ship in this series is Jebediah and Alyssa but I love Morpheus and Alyssa. The sexual tension is sometimes too hard to bear. He is a total bad boy and she’s sort of a good girl.

“Raising one hand, he tilts his hat to that sexy slant. "You want me. Admit it."
Even if he's partly right, I'll never tell him. "Why would I want you?"
He lifts three fingers to countdown. "Mysterious. Rebellious. Troubled. All those qualities women find irresistible."

Even when he’s sick he’s flirting:
“Shh." I squeeze his hand. His palm feels clammy. "We have to keep it down, okay? We don't want my dad coming in."

He grits his teeth against more shivers. "Always knew I'd end up in your bed . . . and hear you say those words one day." He manages a smirk.

Jeb snarls. "Unbelievable. Even when he's at death's door he's a tool." He arranges a pillow beneath Morpheus's neck. "Why don't you keep your mouth shut while we help you."

Morpheus laughs weakly, his skin flashing with blue light. "What say Alyssa"--his breath rattles--"give my mouth something else to do?”

“Oh, but my netherling side did, and she casts my human armor aside.
She guides my hands, knots my fingers through his hair, teases his tongue with hers. She won’t let me pull away, because she wants to be there again. In Wonderland, where his tobacco-flavored kisses always take us . . .
Because the things I loathe are the things she adores: His snark, his infuriating condescension. His menacing mastery of half-truths and riddles. The way he shoves me into the face of danger, forces me to look beyond my fears and reach for my full potential.
Most of all, because he encourages me to believe in the madness ...in her . . . the darker side of myself: the queen who was born to reign over the Red kingdom and to give Wonderland a legacy of dreams and imagination.
His gloved palms seek the bend of my waist, the bow of my hips. He moves me on top of him, so close there’s not enough space for a blade of grass between us. His kisses grow insistent, desperate. His flavor winds through me, fruit and smoke and earth, and other things born of shadows and storms . . . things I can’t put a name to.”

Ninth: Hector and Elisa from The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson

Their relationship is so real and perfect. I love the two of them together and I loved all their scenes because it feels real.

[No fanart sorry.]

Tenth: Kaden and Lia from the Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson

This is not the main ship in this series but I have been crazily shipping them from the start. They seriously need more scenes together and I am hoping that that will happen soon!

[No fanart for this one either. :( ]

Eleventh: Maven and Mare from Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

I seriously thought that this ship was going to be the main ship but looks like it won’t be. I thought these two were perfect together and I hope that it isn’t over between them.

Twelfth: Sophia and Rene from Rook by Sharon Cameron

These two hated each other at first but at the end they were such a cute couple. I love these two so much. They have wonderful chemistry and I’m glad that Rene finally accepts that she is a strong and independent young woman who wants to do things on her own.

[No fanart :( ]

Last but not Least: June and Day from The Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu

These two were so cute together. I really like these two because they have a lot of chemistry. Couples in dystopian novels don’t always work which is kind of what happened in this trilogy but they were adorable.

That’s a wrap on this blogpost and I will see you all soon.

Waiting on Wednesday #4

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that everyone’s excited about.

Lorelai Diederich, crown princess and fugitive at large, has one mission: kill the wicked queen who took both the Ravenspire throne and the life of her father. To do that, Lorelai needs to use the one weapon she and Queen Irina have in common—magic. She’ll have to be stronger, faster, and more powerful than Irina, the most dangerous sorceress Ravenspire has ever seen.

In the neighboring kingdom of Eldr, when Prince Kol’s father and older brother are killed by an invading army of magic-wielding ogres, the second-born prince is suddenly given the responsibility of saving his kingdom. To do that, Kol needs magic—and the only way to get it is to make a deal with the queen of Ravenspire, promise to become her personal huntsman…and bring her Lorelai’s heart.

But Lorelai is nothing like Kol expected—beautiful, fierce, and unstoppable—and despite dark magic, Lorelai is drawn in by the passionate and troubled king. Fighting to stay one step ahead of the dragon huntsman—who she likes far more than she should—Lorelai does everything in her power to ruin the wicked queen. But Irina isn’t going down without a fight, and her final move may cost the princess the one thing she still has left to lose.

The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine releases on February 16, 2016 from Balzer + Bray

This is of course a retelling of Snow White and I am always down for a retelling. Especially one with a kickass female heroine. I am so pumped for this book!

What are you waiting on this Wednesday?
