Weekly Update: 9/26 - 10/2

I have decided to start doing a weekly post called weekly recap where I update you on my life, reading and watching. Plus any posts I have done or will do.

This week has been horrible for me. I've only read one book this week [it was a re-read] and only posted twice. Yes, I am drowning in homework. I am trying so hard to do things ahead of time but it isn't working so well. I will get back into the swing of things by November. But for now, updating will be spotty.

Fall Book Bingo '16

Hello everyone! I just came across this two weeks ago and I thought that it was a really cool thing to do so I came up with a TBR and I am going to share it with all of you. I am usually really bad at read-a-thons but since this is a different kind of read-a-thon, I think I may be able to get it all done. Plus, I've already done some of these :)

This seasonly challenge is hosted by Bekka from Pretty Deadly Reviews. You can find the original post and the rules here. The reading categories give us plenty of wiggle-room though I did change a couple categories to suit me better. I will mention the categories that I edited when I do my TBR. I have decided to start doing a weekly post called weekly recap where I update you on my life, reading and watching. Plus any posts I have done or will do.

I was absent from school for three days this past week which was horrible. I am also back to my reading but not back to my blogging which I apologize for. I am going to be slowing down on my blogging or at least I will be until I can figure out a good strategy in order to do my homework faster. I plan on finishing stuff earlier than the night before a due date and we shall see how that works out.

FEAR THE DROWNING DEEP BLOG TOUR [BOOK REVIEW]

Fear the Drowning Deep caught my attention when I was looking at debut novels at the beginning of 2016 but I never actually requested an ARC or made a big deal out of it. Then I saw that it was having a blog tour and I got excited and I obviously signed up and I got in! I didn't have high expectations though, so I was pretty pleased with it, though the ending did do some damage.

Fear the Drowning Deep had a very captivating atmosphere that was both mysterious and addicting. There were parts that were spooky, and parts that were cutesy and overall this was a great read. I read this in around two days once I actually sat down to read the eArc. The mythological aspect was amazing even if it was a little confusing.

I really enjoyed the writing style as well as the descriptions which weren't too lengthy but really worked. The characters were really interesting and complex, at least in my opinion. I liked Bridey and felt that she was strong and independent.

I thought the romance was sweet although many people didn't see it that way. It was kind of rushed which was really annoying as I prefer the slow burn though it is usually agonizing.

I wouldn't mind giving this a reread in the future.

I rated it 4 Crowns!

School hasn't been that bad and I have had more time to read even if I haven't finished nearly as many books as I wish I have. I did however, get sick so I'm not feeling that great which explains no posts this weekend.
