Top Ten Book Friendships!

For this blogpost, I have decided to do my Top Ten Book Friendships. These are as of February 15, 2016 so I may do another one of these in a couple of months.

Go grab your favorite snack and a cup of tea and settle in for this blogpost. These are also in no particular order.

Number One: Thomas and Newt from The Maze Runner Series by James Dashner.

These two are such good friends in the first and second book, despite Thomas working for WICKED in his past. I love these two as friends and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Number Two: Hermione, Ron and Harry from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.

This is the Golden Trio ladies and gentleman. They are the perfect group of friends, willing to stick by each other until the end. They never give up and endure everything.

Number Three: Iko and Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.

I have supported this friendship since day one and I will keep on doing that until the very end. Iko is an android but with such a huge personality and feelings that at times you question it. They are always there for each other.

Number Four: Percy, Annabeth and Grover from The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan.

These three are the original trio from Rick Riordan’s books and I love them so much. The three of them went on many quests with each other and each one was willing to sacrifice something for another.

Number Five: Eilonwy and Taran from The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander

Yes, I know that these two are a couple but they didn’t start out that way and I love them as friends. Their hilarious banter kept me going at the slow parts in the books.

Number Six: Scarlet and Winter from The Lunar Chronicles Series by Marissa Meyer

These two did not start out as friends. Scarlet was kept captive by Winter and Scarlet did not like her at all even though Winter was protecting her from Levana but eventually they became friends and their friendship is perfect.

Number Seven: Cinder and Thorne from The Lunar Chronicles Series by Marissa Meyer.

These two have the most hilarious banter. They were both in prison and basically escaped together. I will forever love their friendship.

[This is such a struggle. I can't find a picture for these two]

Number Eight: Marlee and America from The Selection series by Kiera Cass

Marlee didn’t want to be queen and neither did America. Marlee has always supported America’s choices and I think they will forever be friends.

Number Nine: Dex and Sophie from Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger.

These two are the perfect best friends and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Number Ten: Sam and Frodo from The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolken

They are one of the best friendships and Sam’s line to Frodo is one of the best.

“I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you.”

That line literally makes me want to cry.

    1. IKR! That was my problem and I tried to rule out any siblings cause that will be another one of mine. I was going to do favorite siblings including The Penderwicks, The Weasleys, etc.
